You know, I’ve noticed that ppl have an issue with me because I’m quiet and reserved. Like, it shocks them that as a black woman I’m not “loud” or “aggressive”. I would always have ppl tell me I should talk more. That they need me to be more “sassy” at work because they know I have it in me to be like that. I’m an introverted person. I don’t speak unless I care to or when it is necessary. I’m tired of the stereotypes that I get. Not every black girl is the same. We come in many shades, shapes, personalities, hair textures, etc. My meekness shouldn’t weird you out because you didn’t expect a black girl to be more quiet and shy. There are a lot of woman like me.

Now if you do try me…then you WILL see that “sassy black woman” come out lol.

Okay, rant over lol.
